How it works
The terms that make
a retainer work.
01 Priced on scope, not hours
Every retainer is built around a scope agreed up front: what each month needs made, across which channels, from social media and website care to design, film and 3D. You pay for the work, not for time.
02 Three month minimum
Retainer pricing sits below what the same work costs booked project by project. That is what the commitment buys, so it needs a real commitment behind it.
03 Monthly, in advance
Invoiced at the start of each month. After the first three months a retainer continues month by month and ends with 30 days' notice.
04 Priority over everything else
Retainer work jumps the queue. When a launch or a deadline lands, you are first in line, which is often worth more than the rate itself.
05 Outside the scope, quoted first
Work beyond the agreed scope is quoted before it starts, at our standard rates. No renegotiation mid-month, and no surprise invoice.
06 Licensing included
Images, music, footage, fonts and any other licensed assets the work needs are covered by the monthly fee, unless the contract says otherwise.
Running out of time?
Take a Sprint
Sprints are pre-scoped bundles at a fixed price on a fixed date. When the work is one outcome rather than a month of changing needs, a sprint is the simpler way to buy it.
